I graduated from Cal State Hayward with a B.A. in Human Development and then went on to earn my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and CLAD certificate from CSUH as well. I started my career in 1996 and enjoyed teaching kindergarten for eight years before coming to third grade at Lydiksen in 2004.
In 2008 I was honored to receive a Civic Engagement and Service Learning Award from PUSD. In addition to teaching, I really enjoy writing grants. These grants have provided monies for the murals in the library, three new tetherball courts, the E building tile murals, art lessons for students, chrome books, dictionaries, spelling workbooks, jump ropes, and the painting of the map on the playground. In 2012, I co-wrote and received a $14,000 grant from Clorox for new playground equipment.
I have two amazing children, a wonderful husband, and a cute dog named Molly. On weekends, I like to spend time with my family and friends. I also like to garden, read, and scrapbook. I love playing softball, skiing, and wakeboarding.
I am thrilled to be a part of the Lydiksen community.
